Abstract
Recent observations of gravitational waves of neutron stars have been providing important insights about the equation of state (EoS) of dense matter. The mass and radius from this data suggests that sound velocity can be greater than its conformal value, $c_s^2 \leq 1/3$. We consider that Quarkyonic Matter naturally explains this behavior. We suggest a model of hard core nucleon interactions in an excluded volume to address how the strangeness affects the equation of state.
