Second Latin American Workshop on Electromagnetic Effects in QCD

and

Sixth Workshop on Nonperturbative Aspects of QCD

Overview

The Second Latin American Workshop on Electromagnetic Effects in QCD (LAWEMQCD) will take place during November 24-28, 2025 in the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Campus San Joaquín. This year the workshop will be followed by the Sixth Workshop on Nonperturbative Aspects of QCD (WONPAQCD) that will take place during December 1-5, 2025 in the campus of the Federico Santa María Technical University, Valparaíso. The main goal of the meetings is to bring together practitioners to discuss recent progress of the research on fields with the common aim to understand the physics of strongly interacting matter from different perspectives.

Scientific Program

The scientific program includes contributed talks with a length of 25+5 minutes, review lectures, as well as poster sessions in the following topics:

  • Lattice QCD

  • Non-perturbative QCD

  • Topological solutions

  • Holographic Ads/QCD models

  • Dynamical Chiral Symmetry breaking

  • Hadron Structure and Interactions

  • Color Glass Condensate

  • Schwinger-Dyson & Bethe-Saltpeter equations

  • Effective field Theory

  • Beyond the SM Physics

  • Dark Matter particle searches

  • Electromagnetic fields as probes of strongly interacting matter

  • Search for imprints of the presence of strong magnetic fields in heavy-ion collisions

Registration

We encourage interested participants to register and submit intended contributions to the web pages

Conference fees

The conference fee is US$150.00 for each conference. The fee is due upon registration and payable in Chilean pesos. The fee includes lunches and coffee breaks. The fee can be waived for students and postdocs that present a work. Financial support for a very limited number of students is also available. To be considered for the fee waiver and or the financial support, the student or postdoc is required to send a recommendation letter from their advisors to the organizing committee.

Venue
