Exact neutrino oscillation probabilities with the time evolution operator

In this work, we use the evolution operator formalism to derive exact formulas for the probabilities of three-neutrino oscillations in matter with constant density. We introduce a hybrid method that uses our exact expressions with approximate expressions for the neutrino energy eigenvalues, leading to transparent and tractable formulas with unsurpassed accuracy compared to perturbative methods. From the exact expressions, we also derive approximate formulas in terms of the most common perturbative parameters, which can be applied to next-generation experiments such as DUNE.
