One of the component of the Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) Complex being built in Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) in Dubna, Russia is Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD). Its work is monitored and controlled by the Slow Control system. The electronic equipment of this system is placed in the racks located on the multilevel mechanical support construction. “The prototype dosime ... More

Multi-Purpose Detector (MPD) is a part of Nuclotron-based Ion Collider fAcility (NICA) located in Dubna, Russia. For full functionality, the MPD needs an additional trigger system for off-beam calibration of MPD sub-detectors and for rejection of cosmic ray particles (mainly muons). The system could also be very useful for astrophysics observations of cosmic showers initiated by high energy primar ... More

The BeBe detector (Beam-Beam monitor detector) is a proposed forward detector for MPD-NICA experiment. It will be located on both sides (+/- 2 meters from IP). BeBe is a detector composed of two plastic scintillation matrices of approximately 152 cm diameter. Each matrix is segmented into 5 rings of 16 cells each. BeBe will provide a trigger signal for minimum bias p+p and heavy-ion collisions ... More

The miniBeBe detector is designed to be a level 0 trigger for the TOF detector in the NICA-MPD. This detector needs to have a fast response to function correctly as a trigger, so it is important to implement it in the MPDRoot Framework and perform simulation studies. In this talk I discuss the capabilities of miniBeBe from the results of our simulations to be a level 0 trigger detector for TOF, be ... More
