The Analysis/Off-Line Group of the MexNICA Collaboration will host the 3rd Computer Workshop of the MexNICA Collaboration 2 – 3 February 2021
Aim:
To continue with the training of the members of the MexNICA Collaboration to learn the use of MpdRoot and carry out the analysis tasks of the MPD in which the members of the collaboration are involved.
Overview:
In order to carry out data analysis in the MPD, it is necessary to know how to use the framework and create Monte Carlo events that mimic real data collisions in the experiment. For that we require: the generation of the underlying physics events, the particle transport and calculation of the energy deposits in the detector, digitization of the energy deposits and finally the reconstruction of the event. Tasks that are performed by MpdRoot framework. The members of the MexNICA collaboration need to be constantly updated in the methodology to perform these tasks using the MpdRoot framework. The workshop will provide an overview of the MpdRoot framework and usage of the basic tools to carry out the analysis required for members of the MexNICA Collaboration involved in different stages of analysis.
Background:
At the previous workshops, the 1st held from 24th to 28th of February 2020 at the FCFM of UAS and 2nd held from July 1st to 3rd in virtual sessions, the following activities were completed by the participants: installation of MPDroot framework, event generators: UrQMD/PHSD, simulation of particle transport: runMC.C, macro development to process MC data simulated with UrQMD and PHSD, build the framework with BMD and MBB geometries, reconstruction of the events: reco.C, anallysis of the events: reading of DST files, types of analysis: local, cluster, PROOF, available MC productions: ICN, JINR.
Participants: Members of MexNICA Collaboration and MPD Collaboration
Place: Virtual workshop - Virtual Rooms: Google-Meet/Zoom
