The BeBe detector (Beam-Beam monitor detector) is a proposed forward detector for MPD-NICA experiment. It will be located on both sides (+/- 2 meters from IP). BeBe is a detector composed of two plastic scintillation matrices of approximately 152 cm diameter. Each matrix is segmented into 5 rings of 16 cells each. BeBe will provide a trigger signal for minimum bias p+p and heavy-ion collisions. This detector can also provide valuable information for centrality studies, event plane determination and beam monitoring tasks. In this talk we present the current status of the BeBe physics performance studies.
