The miniBeBe detector is designed to be a level 0 trigger for the TOF detector in the NICA-MPD. This detector needs to have a fast response to function correctly as a trigger, so it is important to implement it in the MPDRoot Framework and perform simulation studies. In this talk I discuss the capabilities of miniBeBe from the results of our simulations to be a level 0 trigger detector for TOF, beam-gas interaction veto and to locate the beam-beam interaction vertex. The results presented in this talk are reported in the CDR of miniBeBe (e-print: 2007.11790 [physics.ins-det] to appear in JINST).
