We study the gap equation for the fermion propagator in Reduced QED coupled with a Chern-Simons term. In the ordinary theory, the electromagnetic coupling needs to exceed a critical value in order for mases to be generated. Adding the influence of a Chern-Simons term, it is observed that there exists a critical value of the theta-term above which chiral symmetry is restored regardless the strength ... More

With the increased center-of-mass energy and luminosity at the LHC, the studies of the heavy quarkonium systems like Bc(1S) has been renewed. CMS has recently reported the observation of two very well separated peaks, interpreted as the predicted Bc(2S) and Bc(2S)* states, when studying the mass distribution of the Bcππ system. With the full Run-II data, corresponding to an integrated lumin ... More

The recently discovered pentaquark signal $P_c(4312)^+$ by the LHCb collaboration lays right below the $\Sigma_c^+ \bar{D}^0$ threshold, making it a prime candidate for a molecular interpretation. In this work we present the first pole determination of the signal from the data and will discuss its possible molecular nature.
