Flavor physics from modular symmetry
Content
The flavor sector presents compelling evidence for physics beyond the Standard Model, which currently leaves several questions unanswered, particularly whether neutrinos are Dirac or Majorana particles, the origin of Yukawa couplings, the explanation of the observed mass hierarchy between fermion flavors and their mixing, among others. In this talk, we explore a supersymmetric framework where Yukawa couplings are modular forms, all depending on a single complex (geometric) parameter. We will present our latest findings, addressing key theoretical challenges and open questions in this approach.
