Gravitational lensing with the Vera Rubin's Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) and LSST-MX
Content
In this talk, I will provide an overview of the Vera Rubin Observatory, now nearing the final stages of construction, and its Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), which is expected to begin in late 2025. I will also highlight the significant role of Mexican institutions in this groundbreaking project, through the LSST-MX consortium. The second part of the talk will focus on one of the specific projects we are developing at the University of Guanajuato, centered on the detection and modeling of Strong Gravitational Lensing systems.
