Looking for Dark Matter at the DAMIC-M experiment
Content
DAMIC-M is a leading experiment in search for Dark Matter using skipper CCDs at the Modane underground laboratory. It is a continuation of the DAMIC at SNOLAB experiment, and a first prototype phase, the Low Background Chamber (LBC), has been taking data since 2023. I will discuss the excess observed at SNOLAB, the world leading limits obtained at the LBC, and the next years perspective for DAMIC-M, in particular the search for electron scattering in the freeze-in, freeze-out mass-crosssection region where the dark sector signal is expected.
