Based on the work by E. Cremmer and M. Gourdin (1969), radiative correction calculations for the decays of the phi meson into neutral and charged kaons are reproduced, as these are its main decay modes:

\phi \rightarrow K^+ K^-

\phi \rightarrow K^0 \bar{K}^0

An effective Lagrangian is used, coupling massive spin-1 particles with neutral and charged scalar (spin-0) particles.

The radiative corrections appear in second-order processes within perturbation theory, requiring the regularization of loop integrals created by the interaction between the electromagnetic field and the charged kaons. Dimensional regularization and Passarino-Veltman functions are used for this purpose. The identified ultraviolet divergences are renormalized using counterterms, allowing for the identification of coupling constants and physical fields. Soft bremsstrahlung is included to remove infrared divergences from the theory.

It is proposed to continue the development under a effective theory of QCD, based on chiral symmetry with resonances, in order to improve the precision of the observables.
