In this letter we are exploring phenomenologically the potential of IceCube to prove the presence of two sterile states in the context of the (3+2) scenario. As the angular and energy distributions of reconstructed muon events, observed by IceCube, can be distorted with neutrino mass splitting ∆m²∼1eV² at the scale of few TeV, where the Ice- Cube detection is highly optimized, here we have a great opportunity to prove scenarios with sterile states. Supporting by the analysis done in previous works additional considera- tions on some parameters have been imposed in order to guarantee a conservative and robust bounds, as well as to reduce the number of parameters that should be tested, otherwise, this could be computationally challenging. In order to constraint the (3+2) sterile neutrino parameter space, a χ² function is built to compare the one year sample of reconstructed muon events collected by IceCube and the expected number of events.
