I will shortly review how lattice and continuum QCD methods can be properly combined to deliver 2- and 3-points Green's functions, thus revealing some key features linked to the infrared dynamics of the theory. Moreover, they can be used to build a process-independent effective charge that can be of help in gaining further insight in hadron phenomenology.

Results for the ground states and excited states of glueballs in Yang-Mills theory with $J^{\pm+}$, J=0,1,2,3,4 from Bethe-Salpeter equations are presented. The input comes from parameter-free Dyson-Schwinger calculations of the propagators and vertices. We compare with the corresponding lattice results and add some excited states to the known spectrum.

We compute the parton distribution functions (PDFs) of nucleon at hadron scale with an analytic model motivated by Dyson-Schwinger equation approaches, and then applied the DGLAP evolution to get glue and sea distribution at higher energy scale. We also proposed a mechanism of sea asymmetry in nucleon, through an additional $q/\bar{q}\rightarrow \pi$ process in DGLAP evolution.

I will present a brief summary of the main theoretical properties of the three-gluon vertex, and will discuss some of the most interesting phenomenological applications that require it as input.
