Abstract

The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab studies the light-meson spectrum with a linearly-polarized 9GeV photon beam and a detector with near-complete coverage for neutral and charged particles. Measurements of spin-density matrix elements with unprecedented precision provide valuable input for the theoretical description of the production mechanism. We extracted SDMEs for the photoproduction of the vector mesons \rho(770), \omega(782) and \phi(1020) as well as the hyperon \Lambda(1520).
