Abstract

The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab studies the light-meson spectrum with a linearly-polarized 9GeV photon beam and a detector with near-complete coverage for neutral and charged particles. Measurements of spin-density matrix elements with unprecedented precision provide valuable input for the theoretical description of the production mechanism. We extracted SDMEs for the photoproduction of the vector mesons $\rho$(770), $\omega$(782) and $\phi$(1020) as well as the hyperon $\Lambda$(1520).
