Run 3 at the LHC is scheduled to start in 2021, prior to this stage, the ALICE experiment is being upgraded in preparation for the High Luminosity upgrade program (HL – LHC) that the LHC will undergo, which will impose very stringent constraints in terms of radiation resistance to detector systems. Due to these constraints a detector design is proposed with the purpose of optimizing light collec ... More

The Detector Control System (DCS) is one of the most important elements to allow the control, configuration and monitoring of the elements that integrate a High Energy Physics (HEP) experiment. The DCS oversees coordinating of all processes in the experiment, according to the status of the systems and subsystems, as well as monitoring data. In addition, the DCS ensures safe, reliable, and uninterr ... More

In this work, we present a study of radiative decays of heavy baryons in the deformed quark model, in which we distinguish between the masses of light (q) and heavy (Q) quarks. The treatment is for both the S and P wave states. In particular, we focus on the two decays $\Sigma^{+ }Q(uuQ) \to \Sigma{Q}(uuQ)+\gamma and\Lambda^_Q(udQ)\to\Lambda_Q(udQ)+\gamma$, the generalization to the rest is obtain ... More

A monochromatization scheme has been proposed for the FCC-ee in previous works, for direct s-channel Higgs production in e+e− collisions, adapted for the higher energy beam-beam conditions in future circular colliders proposals. When beamstrahlung is present (with significant nonzero IP dispersion required for monocromatization) the horizontal emittance increases, degrading the collider performa ... More

By using the string percolation framework we study the shear and bulk viscosity over entropy ratio in addition to studying the mixed effect of the two viscosities in high multiplicity events in p-Pb and p-p collisions at the current LHC energies, where evidence on collective like effects has been found recently on data. Evidence of the formation of a strongly interacting medium similar to that obt ... More

Through the last years the coupling of topological terms to certain field theories has obtained a lot of interest in several branches of physics from both experimental and theoretical point of view. In this talk we focus on the Pontryagin term coupled by a scalar piecewise function θ to the Maxwell action, known as θ-Electrodynamics (θ-ED). This theory models the effective behavior of magnetoel ... More
