Electromagnetic Couplings of Heavy Baryons and Pentaquarks

Speakers

  • Mr. Emmanuel ORTIZ-PACHECO

Description

In this work, we present a study of radiative decays of heavy baryons in the deformed quark model, in which we distinguish between the masses of light (q) and heavy (Q) quarks. The treatment is for both the S and P wave states. In particular, we focus on the two decays $\Sigma^{+ }Q(uuQ) \to \Sigma{Q}(uuQ)+\gamma and\Lambda^_Q(udQ)\to\Lambda_Q(udQ)+\gamma$, the generalization to the rest is obtained immediately. Additionally, we make a classification of hidden charm pentaquark states with flavor content uudcc¯. We find that only a very small number of all possible pentaquark states can be excited in photoproduction experiments, p(uud)+γ→Pc(uudcc¯), which is of interest for current experimental efforts at JLab to excite pentaquarks states with electromagnetic probes.
