Effective field theory analysis of LFV mediated by an unknown particle

We perform an effective field theory analysis of the L -> l' X (gamma) decays, where L=tau, mu; l'=mu,e and X is an unknown particle with spin 0 or 1 and with either parity, which mediates LFV processes. This mechanism of LFV decays may also explain (for reasonable values of M_X and its couplings) the muon g-2 anomaly. We analyze angular observables that can unveil the underlying structure of such interaction and that will be studied at Belle(-II).
