Eligibility and Required Documentation

First Stage - Profile evaluation

Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program.

  • Undergraduate students: Must have completed at least 75% of their academic credits.
  • Master’s students: Must be in their first semester at the time of application.

All applicants:

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 8.5, as shown on the transcript (Kardex).

  • Must submit the following documents before the application deadline:

Required Documents

  • Official identification (passport or INE).

  • Motivation letter written in English (maximum two pages, 11-pt font).

  • CV in free format (maximum three pages, 11-pt font).

  • Updated transcript (Kardex).

  • Video presentation (maximum 5 minutes, in English), structured as follows:

    • Name and institution

    • Research interests

    • Interest in the laboratory

    • Relevant experience

    • Any other relevant aspects

  • Two letters of recommendation from professors with whom the applicant has taken a course or conducted research.

Second Stage — In-Person Evaluation

The second stage will take place in person at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH), in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, from January 19th to 21st. 

During this stage:

Applicants will participate in intensive short courses taught by faculty members and researchers in the field.

Applicants must complete a written and/or oral evaluation, which may be recorded for assessment purposes.

The DPyC will cover accommodation and meals. The possibility of covering transportation expenses will be evaluated depending on budget availability.

  • Attendance on all scheduled days is mandatory.

  • Applicants must be able to travel to Pachuca and be present throughout the activities.
