HAWC Collaboration Meeting Mexico 2024

The most convenient airport to flight in is the Benito Juarez International airport. Be aware that we have a new airport an hour driving distance from Mexico City with very poor transportation to the city. Thus, we recommend to avoid flying to this airport. 

Uber and Didi platforms are available in Mexico City to move around the city. It is safe and not too expensive. We recommend to take Taxis from formal “sitios” and to avoid taking a taxi at the streets. 

The host hotel is in a nice touristic area of Mexico City. There are several restaurants and bars around where you can have your meals and drinks. However, we provide a map with information about neighborhood you would like to avoid.

There are several tourist attractions around the hotel such as the Chapultepec park and Castle that you can visit. However, for your comfort and safety, we have arranged with a touristic agency three main activities for the weekend after the SWGO meeting. See the social events section.
