The ALICE Collaboration is planing a major upgrade of its detector referred to as ALICE 3, which is proposed for physics data-taking in Run 5 (>2035) and beyond. ALICE 3 will enable an extensive programme to fully exploit the LHC for the study of the properties of the strongly-interacting quark-gluon plasma. This programme relies on novel and unique compact detector with high readout rate capabilities, excellent pointing resolution and excellent tracking and particle identification over a large acceptance. One of the systems which is foreseen is the muonID detector. The goal of the meeting is to discuss the involvement of the Mexican team in the muonID project. Topics: -Physics program -R&D activities -Identify areas where other institutions can get involved Format: in person participation (a few talks by zoom are considered)
