The e-e+ B factories, owing to the large cross section for producing tau lepton pairs, are also “tau lepton factories”. In particular, the Belle II experiment will provide unique possibilities to perform high precision measurements and searches for physics beyond the standard model in the tau lepton sector.
In this talk, I will discuss our search for new physics via the lepton flavor violation process tau to lepton + invisible using the Belle II data, where the lepton is either an electron or a muon and the invisible particle is a BSM particle that evades detection.
