For the flavour-singlet heavy quark system of charmonia, we compute the masses of the ground state mesons in four different channels: pseudo-scalar (ηc (1S)), vector (J/Ψ(1S)), scalar (χc0 (1P )) and axial vector (χc1 (1P )), as well as the weak decay constants of the ηc (1S) and J/Ψ(1S) and the charge radius of ηc (1S). The framework for this analysis is provided by a symmetry-preservin ... More

A brief talk about the early work on the decay channels Lambda_b to mumu Lambda^0 and Lambda_b to mumu Lambda(1520). Besides the observation on the mass distribution we aim to measure some parameters as branching ratio, lifetime, among others. This work is currently being done in the CMS experiment at CERN.

Since the first measurement of the hyperfine ground state splitting of deuterium and hydrogen, experimental results have pushed theoretical physics to include higher order corrections to the magnetic moment of the muon. The latest result from BNL(2004) shows a discrepancy ~ 3.6 sigma with theoretical prediction. Since there are plans in J-PARC and Fermilab for reducing the experimental error a fac ... More

We present our latest results in the study of momentum imbalance as a function of jet asymmetry in high-energy heavy-ion collisions. We have included all leading order (LO) 2->2 and 2->3 parton processes in pQCD. The produced partons lose energy within the QGP and hadronize collinearly when they leave it. The energy and momentum deposited into the plasma is described using linear viscous hydrodyna ... More

Saturation of the gluon density provides a natural way to tame the power-like growth of gluon distributions at small values of Bjorken x, observed in DIS experiments: at a certain value of x, the conventional low density expansion in the hard scale is argued to break down and gluon recombination effects, characterized by the saturation scale Qs(x) and non-linear QCD evolution, sets in. Two particl ... More

We perform a 3-D Monte Carlo simulation of a system composed of two identical light quarks ($qq$) and two identical antiquarks ($\bar Q\bar Q$) that can be linked either as two mesons or as a tetraquark, incorporating quantum correlations between identical particles and an effective many-body potential between particles . We characterize each case and determine wether it is energetically more favo ... More
