Abstract content
We present a unified treatment on masses and mixings, with different Higgs sectors, for both quarks and leptons. We derive analytical expressions for fermion mixing angles in terms of mass ratios. The discussion will begin by presenting a general framework of an S3-invariant extension of the Standard Model, then it will be followed by explaining particular realizations of the model. We will mention also how a $\chi^2$ analysis, in the quark sector, confronts the different models against experimental results.
