Summary
ABSTRACT: Since the discovery of cosmic rays, they have been of great scientific interest -such as searching for components, energy spectrum, astro physic sources, origin, and the way to detect and study them-. To accomplish these activities, a vast variety of detectors have been designed and operated. We have planned, designed, constructed, characterized and operated a small two channel cosmic ray detector based on two NaI(Tl) 5.08 cm tall, 5.08 cm diameter, crystal bars and two Amperex PMT mounted as a small telescope. We measured the cosmic ray flux at León Guanajuato. In this talk, we explain the technical details about this small cosmic ray detector and present the preliminary physical results obtained.
