Summary

Cosmic rays are an abundant, and not completely known, natural source of ionizing and photonizing radiation from outer space, where multiple techniques have been invented to detect and study them. To detect and study them, we planned, designed and simulated a detection system consisting of two identical detectors based on cylindrical transparent acrylic rods of $20$ cm high and $10.16$ cm in diameter. We report on the technical details of this cosmic ray detector and preliminary simulation results obtained using CERN GEANT4 and ROOT.
