Summary

After a very successful data-taking period between 2015 and 2018, and a key technical shutdown period to allow for the installation of new systems, Run 3 of the LHC is currently underway with nearly 300 fb$^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity delivered to the experiments. The CMS collaboration has released results spanning across multiple areas, from precision Standard Model measurements to new physics searches, pushing the boundaries of our current understanding of the particle world. In parallel, the preparations for the High-Luminosity era of the LHC are fully underway, including the construction of the different detector systems and the development of the tools to handle that the data at the expected Phase-2 rates. In this talk I will cover some of the most relevant and recent CMS results, highlighting those in which the Mexican institutions have played a leading role.
