| Description |
The idea of reduction of couplings provides a systematic way to search for relations among seemingly unrelated parameters of a renormalizable theory. As a consequence, such reduced theories exhibit more constrained parameter space and are more predictive. While in the original method the reduction relations among the parameters are renormalization group invariant, the current version of the idea relates the theory's parameters at a specific energy scale, which is considered the boundary scale of the theory.
