Atmospheric Neutrino Oscillations as a Probe of Physics beyond the Standard Model
by Dr. Supriya Pan (Universidad Católica del Norte, Chile)

| Description |
Atmospheric neutrinos span a wide range of energies, from approximately 100 MeV to 10 GeV, and travel distances ranging from a few tens of kilometers to about 13,000 km. This makes them a unique probe of neutrino oscillations over a broad range of baseline-to-energy ratios (L/E) within a single neutrino source. Since standard neutrino oscillations depend on (L/E), deviations from the expected oscillation patterns may provide signatures of physics beyond the Standard Model. In this talk, we will explore two such possibilities: the presence of a pseudo-Dirac neutrino state and Lorentz invariance violation, and discuss their potential signatures in atmospheric neutrino oscillations.
