Description |
Resumen pendiente High energy physics and condensed matter physics operate at very different energy scales. However, low energy excitations (quasiparticles) of topological quantum phases can be described by Dirac-type equations. This provides an interesting platform to test phenomena associated with relativistic fermions and Lorentz invariance, which is not a prerequisite in condensed matter applications. In this talk I will present some results regarding the connection between quantum anomalies and anomalous transport in topological phases. I will discuss also the physical realization of the Standard Model Extension in topological phases. Evento presencial transmitido por Zoom.
