Abstract
The HAWC observatory is an air shower detector well suited for the research of gamma-rays from astrophysical origin. However, it can also detect cosmic-ray induced EAS with high efficiency in the energy interval from 10 TeV to 1 PeV, making of it an ideal experiment to explore the energy region of the cosmic ray spectrum, where there is an overlap with space- and balloon-borne experiments. In this work, we present an update of the analysis of three years of HAWC’s data taken between January, 2018 and December, 2020. The reconstruction of the energy spectrum was performed with a Bayesian unfolding algorithm. The high-energy hadronic interaction model QGSJET-II-04 was employed in the calibration of the primary energy of EAS. The results confirm the presence of a knee-like structure at around tens of TeVs.
