Scientific Programme

Topics por this workshop:

Reconstruction of events: reco.C.

Improvement for macros to identify the main steps in the event reconstruction like: hit and track reconstruction, track propagation using Kalmanfilter, global tracking, vertex finding and particle identification.

Macro to read DST files. Study and test content of output files from reconstruction and learn to use and write a macro to read mpddst.root file.

Types of analysis: local, cluster(icn), cluster/LIT (jinr) – PROOF

Learn how to perform parallel analysis using the different available facilities, the ICN cluster or the Parallel Root Facility (PROOF)

Review and access available MC productions: local, ICN, JINR

Agenda for this workshop:

First day: Summary of previous workshop. Local reconstruction, analysis and usage of output files: evetest.root, mpddst.root. Macros from MPDroot framework to read DST files

Second day: Big data processing, data reconstruction with the cluster (ICN) and PROOF facilities. Update on DIRAC at UNAM. An overview in data reconstruction and MC generation

Third day: Talks by MPD collaborators invited. Oleg Rogachevsky+members of his team and individual presentations by participants of the workshop
