Soft gluons and rapidity evolution in double parton scattering
Soft gluon exchange is an essential part of the dynamics in DPS processes. In processes where factorisation holds, the effects of this exchange are described by soft factors, which give rise to Sudakov logarithms. We discuss progress made in the understanding of the colour dependence of these factors. This leads to significant simplifications both in collinear and in TMD factorisation for DPS.
