Inverse magnetic catalysis
Summary
The behaviour of hadronic matter in presence of magnetic fields has become a subject of increasing interest over the past few years. This interest has been sparked by recent Lattice QCD results showing the transition temperature decreases with increasing magnetic field. This behaviour has been dubbed inverse magnetic catalysis. This phenomena will be discussed. (1) Starting with a brief introduction in the subject. (2) Continuing with a presentation of results obtained in the framework of QCD Sum Rules for pure magnetic effects and Linear Sigma Model coupled to quarks for thermo-magnetic effects.
