 <abstract>Los ultimos resultados de los experimentos del Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider 
(RHIC) apuntan
que los bariones son mas frecuentes que mesones en un rango de momento 
transverso medio alto (2-5Gev/c). Las teorias predicen un comportamiento 
similar a las energias del LHC con iones pesados a un momento aun mas alto. 
Esto requiere ampliar las posibilidades de identificacion de bariones
aun a mas alto pt. Nosotros estudiamos detectores Cherenkov de gas con tres 
geometrias diferentes. Dos de estas sin focalizacion y una con focalizacion por 
un espejo esferico. Nuestros resultados de las simulaciones indican la 
posibilidad de identificar protones desde 10 hasta casi 30 GeV/c con un
detector de Cherenkov con 120 cm de C5F12 y con un espejo esferico de 240 
cm de radio.</abstract>
