The neutrino mixing mass matrix contains three mixing angles, one Dirac and two Majorana CP violating phases (in case to be Majorana particles) and can be parametrized in different equivalent ways. One particular ansatz is the Tribimaximal Mixing Matrix which despite the recent experimental confirmation of a non zero value for the $\theta_{13}$ mixing angle, can be used as a good first aproximati

A class of discrete flavor-symmetry-based models predicts constrained neutrino mass matrix schemes that lead to specific neutrino mass sum-rules (MSR). We show how these theories may constrain the absolute scale of neutrino mass, leading in most of the cases to a lower bound on the neutrinoless double beta decay effective amplitude.

We construct self/anti-self charge conjugate (Majorana-like) states for higher spins within the quantum field theory. The problems of the basis rotations and that of the selection of phases in the Dirac-like and Majorana-like field operators are considered. It seems that in many areas of particle/neutrino physics and astrophysics scalar fields are required. We show that the non-linear realization

Several proposals for studying neutrinos with large detectors are currently under discussion. We suggest that they could provide a precise measurement of the electroweak mixing angle as well as a probe for new physics, such as non-standard neutrino interactions (NSI), and the electroweak gauge structure. We illustrate this explicitly for the case of the LENA proposal, either with an artificial rad

Neutrino experiments offer an an increasing evidence for a non zero
neutrino mass and there is a strong effort to build models containing
the observed the neutrino mass pattern. Most of this models implies
nonstandard interactions that can be parametrized in terms of
effective four-fermion operators in the low-energy limit. In this talk
I plan to show the current status of the constraints to

Lorentz violation is a predicted signal from Planck scale physics.
Since neutrino oscillation experiments are natural interferometers,
they may be sensitive to small space-time effect,
such as Lorentz violation through their sidereal time dependence.
The sensitivity is comparable to precision optical measurements (10E-19 GeV).
Thus, neutrino oscillations may be the first place

The MAJORANA collaboration will search for the neutrinoless double-beta decay of 76Ge. The observation of this rare decay would indicate the neutrino is its own anti-particle, demonstrate that lepton number is not conserved, and provide information on the absolute mass scale of the neutrino. The MAJORANA collaboration is constructing the DEMONSTRATOR, an array of high purity germanium detectors.
