DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Dr. TSUCHIYA\, HARUFUMI (RIKEN\, 2-1\, Wako\, Saitam
a 351-0198\, Japan)\nThe Yangbajing neutron monitor is suitable for obser
ving solar neutrons in\nassociation with solar flares due to a location wi
th an altitude of 4\,300 m above sea\nlevel. \nUsing data of the Yangbajin
g neutron monitor obtained during 1998 and 2001\, \nwe searched for solar
neutrons from individual solar flares detected by BATSE and\nYohkoh. No si
gnal due to solar neutrons was found in coincidence with those solar\nflar
es. \nThe 95 \\% confidence level upper limits on the integral flux of sol
ar neutrons above \n100 MeV were obtained\, assuming a power-law index of
the energy spectrum is\n-3\,-4 and -5. The derived upper limits are compa
red with integral fluxes of solar\nneutrons obtained by past observations
using other neutron monitors as well as\nsatellites.\n\nhttps://indico.nuc
