DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Dr. MIKHAILOV\, Vladimir (MEPHI)\nPAMELA is a satell
ite-borne experiment that measures charged particles\ncosmic-ray spectra a
cross a wide energy range up to a few hundreds of\nGeV. The instrument w
as launched on the 15^th of June 2006 onboard the\nResurs-DK N.1 satellite
. PAMELA instrument consists of a time-of-flight\nsystem\, a magnetic spe
 ctrometer\, a silicon-tungsten calorimeter\,a shower detector\, a\nneutron
detector and a set of scintillator anticoincidence detectors.\nEvery day
millions of events are detected and the information downlinked \nfrom the
instrument to the ground station located in Moscow\, Russia. The\ndaily vo
lume of data is around 14 GB. This paper describes the in-orbit\ncondition
s\, the instrument control\, the data receiving process as well \nas all o
n-ground operations of quicklook analysis\, data pre-processing\nand archi
 ving.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx/event/4/session/8/contribution/4
