DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Mr. WADA\, Yoshimitsu (Graduate School of Science an
 d Engineering\, Saitama University)\nThe chemical composition of Ultra-Hig
h-Energy (UHE) comic rays is one of unsolved\nmysteries\, and its study wi
ll give us fruitful information on the origin and\nacceleration mechanism
of UHE cosmic rays. Especially\, a detection of UHE gamma-rays\nby hybrid
experiments\, such as AUGER and TA\, will be a key to solve these question
s.\nThe characteristics of UHE gamma-ray showers have been studied on late
ral and\nlongitudinal structure of shower particles by AIRES and our own s
imulation code\, so\nfar. There are apparent differences in a slope of lat
eral distribution (Eta) and a\ndepth of shower maximum (Xmax) between gamm
a-ray and proton induced showers because\nUHE gamma-ray showers are affect
ed by the LPM effect and the geomagnetic cascading\nprocess in an energy r
egion of > 10^19.5eV. Different features between gamma-ray and\nproton sho
wers are pointed out from the simulation study and an identifiability of\n
gamma-ray showers from proton ones is also discussed by the method of\nNeu
 ral-Network-Analysis.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx/event/4/session/
