DESCRIPTION:Speakers: SEO\, Eun-Suk (Institute for Physical Science and Te
 chnology\, University of Maryland)\nThe Balloon-borne Experiment with a Su
perconducting Spectrometer (BESS) \nwas flown eight times from Lynn Lake\,
Manitoba\, Canada between 1993 and \n2002. The performance of the instrum
ent was improved with essentially each \nsuccessive flight\, and precise s
pectral measurements of cosmic-ray hydrogen \nand helium isotopes were mad
e during different phases of the solar \nmodulation. This paper presents t
he measured isotopic spectra for the most \nrecent solar maximum in 2000 a
nd compares the results to the previous \nmeasurements and theoretical pre
dictions from the Standard Leaky Box and \nreacceleration models. Implicat
ions of the results will be discussed.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx
