DESCRIPTION:Speakers: LUENEMANN\, Jan (University of Dortmund)\nThe unders
tanding of the particle spectra resulting from acceleration in\nrelativist
ic shocks as they occur in extragalactic sources is essential for the inte
rpretation of the Cosmic Ray\nspectrum above the ankle (E>3*1e18 eV). It i
s believed that\nextragalactic sources like Active Galactic Nuclei and Gam
ma Ray Bursts can\nproduce particle spectra up to E~1e21 eV.\nIn this cont
ribution\, subluminal shocks are investigated with respect to different sh
ock boost\nfactors Gamma and the inclination angle between the shock norma
l and the\nmagnetic field psi. A correlation between the boost factor and
the spectral\nbehavior of the emitted particles is found. The results are
compared to\nGamma Ray Burst observations and the Cosmic Ray spectrum at t
 he highest energies.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx/event/4/session/8
