DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Prof. RYAN\, James (University of New Hampshire)\nTh
 e Milagro TeV ground-level gamma-ray telescope detects Forbush decreases\n
in several of its data channels. To understand how the instrument respond
 s\nto Forbush decreases\, one must calculate\, through simulations\, its b
ehavior\nto a changing galactic cosmic-ray background as that background i
s modulated\nby heliospheric activity. To this end\, we have been modelin
g the response\nof the instrument as a function of the Gleeson and Axford
heliospheric\nelectrostatic potential. We will present ongoing progress i
n modeling the\nOctober and November 2003 Forbush decreases using several
independent data\nchannels. We will compare the results to the predicted
response of the\nClimax neutron monitor in nearby Colorado.\n\nhttps://ind
