DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Dr. SERPICO\, Pasquale Dario (Fermilab)\nWe discuss
the general observational upper limits on the total annihilation rate of\n
dark matter derived from the diffuse gamma ray background measured by the
EGRET\nsatellitr. We assume that the dark matter annihilates at tree level
in the least\ndetectable final states in the Standard Model\, namely neut
rinos. Any other decay\nchannel would lead to stronger constraints. Electr
oweak jet cascading imply that\, for\nmasses above ~100 GeV\, interesting
bounds apply which are much more stringent than\nwell-known general bounds
as the unitarity one and comparable or only a few times\nweaker than the
bounds recently derived from atmospheric neutrino data.\nWe briefly discus
s the perspectives of improvement of these constraints on the light\nof fo
 rthcoming GLAST stellite data.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx/event/4
