DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Prof. BEREZINSKY\, Veniamin (INFN\, Laboratori Nazio
nali del Gran Sasso)\nSimilar to the GZK cutoff\, the dip is a signature o
f UHE proton\n interaction with Cosmic Microwave Radiation (CMB). It is pr
oduced \n due electron-positron production in collisions of protons with C
MB \n photons. The dip is located in energy range 1 - 40 EeV. It is
\n demonstrated that the dip is very well confirmed by the data of \n
AGASA\, Fly's Eye\, Hires and Yakutsk detectors. Since the energy \n posit
ion of the dip is model-independent it can be used for energy \n calibrat
ion of the detectors. After this energy calibration the\n absolute fluxes\
, measured by all detectors\, coincide well. Based \n on the dip and ener
gy-calibrated data of all detectors\, the prediction \n for the Auger mea
sured spectrum and absolute flux is made for energy \ninterval 1 - 70 EeV\
, which includes beginning of the GZK cutoff.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.
