 aken using the 24.5 x 10^33 \nneutron-years of exposure in run one of Supe
 r-Kamiokande. When \nincorporating most major sources of systematic and st
 atistical errors we \ncalculate the upper limit on the oscillation lifetim
 e of neutrons in oxygen to be \n1.78 x 10^32 years at the 90% confidence l
 evel. Using the theoretical \nsuppression factor R=3.6 x 10^23 sec^-1\, th
 is result is equivalent to the free \nneutron oscillation limit of 1.25 x 
 10^8 seconds compared with .87 x 10^8 \nseconds obtained in the free neutr
 on experiment at Grenoble (1994). For the \npurpose of comparison with pre
 vious intranuclear experiments\, our upper limit \nwithout the inclusion o
 f systematic errors was found to be 3.20 x 10^32 years. \nThis is an impro
 vement by a factor of 7.4 over the previous best measurement \nin oxygen b
 y Kamiokande (1986) and 4.4 over the best measurement in iron by \nSoudan
