DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Mrs. LEMOINE-GOUMARD\, Marianne (CENBG - CNRS - IN2P
3)\nThe shell-type supernova remnant RX J0852.0-4622 was detected in 2004
and re-observed\nbetween December 2004 and May 2005 with the High Energy S
tereoscopic System\n(H.E.S.S.)\, an array of four Imaging Cherenkov Telesc
opes located in Namibia and\ndedicated to the observations of gamma-rays a
bove 100 GeV. The angular resolution of\n< 0.1° and the large field of vi
ew of H.E.S.S. (5° diameter) are well adapted to\nstudying the morphology
of the object in very high energy gamma-rays\, which exhibits\na remarkab
ly thin shell very similar to the features observed in the radio range and
\nin X-rays. The spectral analysis of the source from 300 GeV to 20 TeV wi
ll be\npresented. Finally\, the possible origins of the very high energy g
amma-ray emission\n(Inverse Compton scattering by electrons or the decay o
f neutral pions produced by\nproton interactions) will be discussed\, on t
he basis of morphological and spectral\nfeatures obtained at different wav
 elengths.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx/event/4/session/39/contribut
