DESCRIPTION:Speakers: FEDOROVA\, Yulia (University of Utah)\nThe monitorin
g of atmospheric conditions is very important for \nfluorescence observati
ons. Particularly\, the presence of clouds can \ndrastically distort the s
ignal from the extensive air shower. Infra-red \n(IR) sensors\, measuring
sky temperature\, can help to distinguish clouds\, \nwhich are usually sig
nificantly warmer than clear skies. An array of such \nsensors\, covering
the HiRes detector's field of view\, was installed\, and \nhas been collec
ting data every minute of detector operation. Using this \ninformation\, a
cloud database was created. This database is used to select \ncloud free
CR events. In this paper we present a description of the array \nand the
 method to analyze IR data.\n\nhttps://indico.nucleares.unam.mx/event/4/ses
