Abstract
Plastic scintillators are versatile revealing media for radiation detection and find applications in a wide range such as homeland security, environmental assays, radioprotection or personal dosimetry. Their composition and size are key parameters that define how a type of radiation can be detected and determine some characteristics of the pulse produced by the pass-through radiation. In this work we study the pulses detected by some plastic scintillators synthesized after the interaction of the materials with cosmic rays and characterize them based on this information.
