Abstract
We study the one-loop contributions to the top-quark pair–photon vertex and to the anomalous magnetic moment of the top quark as a probe of extra dimensions. Starting from a five-dimensional effective operator constructed from electroweak field-strength tensors, we perform the compactification on an orbifold S^1/Z_2, obtaining an effective four-dimensional theory with Kaluza–Klein modes. The radiative contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment are expressed in terms of Passarino–Veltman functions, yielding a finite result that is independent of the gauge-fixing parameter.
