The top quark production as a window for new physics

Description

The Standard Model had to be extended to include right-handed neutrinos in order to explain the masses and the mixing among the three families of neutral leptons, as observed in experiments. On the other hand, given that the Standard Model’s prediction for flavor neutrality violation among charged fermions is of the order of O(10^−52). In this work we explore the charged fermion flavor violation possibility through FCNC possibility. We work in a scalar extension with a flavor structure model beyond the Standard Model.
We analyze possible Yukawa couplings beyond the SM involving the top quark, since top signals could provide a clear signature. The processes we analyze are the production of same-sign top quark pairs and single top quarks in deeply inelastic scattering (DIS) collisions. We analyze these processes and constrain the parameter space of the specific model to search for regions where the top quark is produced through FCNC via the Higgs boson, within the current experimental data.
